Marc conducted no fewer than 24 different opera productions with us. With ‘his’ orchestra he excelled particularly in the German romantic repertoire of Wagner and Strauss. He conducted no fewer than six operas by Wagner and four by Strauss. Highlights in his career were the world premiere of the opera ‘Orest’ (2011) and the scenic world premiere of Schoenberg’s ‘Gurre-Lieder’ (2014). The latter production, one of Marc’s most special experiences with our company, will be streamed on our YouTube channel tonight June 14th. Are you going to watch Gurre-Lieder?
