Love, infidelity, betrayal, jealousy and murder are the ingredients that make up the famous Italian opera dyptich Pagliacci / Cavalleria rusticana. In September 2019, Lorenzo Viotti, who will hold the position of chief conductor of Dutch National Opera and the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra from the beginning of next season, made his debut at DNO with this production.
