New Moves (Absence) – Dutch National Ballet

The dancers of Dutch National Ballet never stop moving. SUBSCRIBE to our channel for new video’s every week: http://bit.ly/YoutubeNOB

Even during a pandemic, they keep on creating new works. Not on stage, but online! That is why we are launching New Moves online; an online version of our annual popular event where dancers of our company develop and share their choreographic talents. This new choreography is titled ‘Absence’.

The choreography is made by Robin van Zutphen and Daniel Robert Silva, and performed by Daniel in the NDSM Loods in Amsterdam North. Robert: ’’As a black artist I felt the necessity to express the way I feel in these very hard and challenging times. We all deserve to be free, respected and seen! I want to thank my great friend Robin van Zutphen who made this possible and Sara Li for capturing and adding her perspective to this project!
Special thanks to NDSM loods for opening up your beautiful space for us!’

Enjoy the new video of New Moves ‘Absence’!”
