This Vet Vaccinates Dogs Against Rabies in Ghana | Global Citizen Spotlight

Dr. William Tasiame has dedicated his career to eliminating rabies in Ghana. Rabies is a neglected tropical disease (NTD) that can ravage the human body as it travels through the nerves to the spinal cord and brain. It is almost always transmitted by infected animals.

With just 0.6% of global health funding currently going to preventing NTDs like rabies, new commitments are desperately needed to safeguard the progress made towards their elimination. Call on world leaders to protect the world’s most vulnerable people against NTDs by taking action now: https://www.globalcitizen.org/en/action/tell-world-leaders-to-end-ntds/.
