School performances: Going to the theatre with the entire class | Dutch National Opera & Ballet

Opera and ballet broaden your world. We are delighted to share that experience with as many people as possible, from young to old.

That is why we offer a range of special performances for schools, introducing young children to the magic of theatre in an accessible way. The performances take place at convenient times in the morning or early afternoon, allowing students to return to school on time afterwards.

All school performances cost €5 per student. This includes preparatory teaching materials via LessonUp, as well as a dance or opera workshop in the classroom led by our specialised teaching artists. For schools outside Amsterdam, free bus transportation is available, ensuring that as many children as possible have the opportunity to attend these special school performances.
