A tribute to James Stout | Principal dancer of Dutch National Ballet
Principal dancer James Stout danced his last performance with Dutch National Ballet, after dancing with our company for 16 years. Thank you for sharing your talent with us, James!
“James joined HNB as a young dancer 16 years ago and has developed into an extremely versatile soloist who holds an important place in our company. James is tremendously dedicated, a strong stage personality and a great partner, a curious dancer who is always open to new challenges. He is able to show both his strength and vulnerability on stage, which made many choreographers want to create for him. He has, for example, a special bond with David Dawson, with whom he has worked for many years. James has also performed major roles throughout the repertoire, from leading roles in major classical ballets to roles in works by Hans van Manen, George Balanchine, Rudi van Dantzig, William Forsythe, Toer van Schayk and many others. We – our company and audience – will greatly miss this extraordinary dance artist.”
