$560 Million in Commitments to End Deforestation | Global Citizen Festival: Amazônia 2025

Regina Casé and Mel Fronckowiak, Co-Hosts, lead the announcement of new commitments to end deforestation. Concita Sompré presents Equitable Earth’s commitment of $162 million in letters of intent to support 20 Indigenous-led projects, alongside Ricardo Guimarães, CEO of BNP Paribas Brazil; Thibault Sorret, CEO of Equitable Earth; Nicia Coutinho, Director, Brazil, Forest Trends; Fernanda Ribeiro, Director of Institutional Partnerships, Panthea; and Gerald Prolman, Executive Chairman, Everland. Together, these and other partner commitments bring the total investment to $560 million to support forest protection and sustainable development at Global Citizen Festival: Amazônia on November 1, 2025, in Belém, Brazil.
